Much loved by his children, Christopher, Stephanie Lax, John, and Elizabeth; his grandchildren, Michael, Stephen, David, and Meredith Lax; and Joan Dierken Osmond. He served in France in WWII with the U.S. Army Signal Corps, and graduated from The Catholic University in Architecture. He enjoyed Civil War history and was a member of the Washington Blue Rifles of the N-SSA and the 3rd Maryland, Co. A re-enactors. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin's Catholic Church, 201 South Frederick Avenue, Gaithersburg, MD, preceded by a viewing at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Culpeper National Cemetery, at 2:00 p.m.
