FRANK LITKO

 

Frank Litko, 91, of Annapolis passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017. Frank was born to the late Alex and Susan Litko in Windber, Pennsylvania on March 22, 1926. Frank entered the work force by working the Pennsylvania coal mines, then left to join the US Army during the Korean War. He made his way to Washington, DC during the 1960's and married Louise and became a stepfather to her four children. He was an outgoing man who loved to be around people. Frank was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan and the King of Bingo at Heritage Harbor. He was preceded in death by his wife Louise; step-sons, Carl and John (Jackie) Cord; brother, Alex Litko; sisters, Helen Litko and Theresa Yuhas. Frank is survived by his stepchildren, Regina O'Brien and Eleanor Coene; siblings, Paul Litko, Mary Luebke, Ann Smith, George Yuhas and Betty Yuhas. Friends are invited to celebrate Mr. Litko's life on Tuesday, December 12 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, December 13 at 10:30 AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 Bestgate Rd., Annapolis, MD. Interment to follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, Davidsonville, MD.
