ROBERT KITNA

 

Robert Kitna, 81, was born on November 5, 1935 in Seattle, Washington. He worked as a heavy machinery operator for over 40 years for the cities of Kent and Auburn, WA. He graduated from Auburn Senior High School, attended Washington State University and graduated from Grays Harbor Junior College. Robert was a veteran of the United States Army.

Robert was a people person at heart. He enjoyed camping with his family and friends throughout Washington State. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Some of his favorite sites were Salmon La Sac, Buck Creek, the Okanogan Valley, and Diamond Point near Sequim, WA. He was very proud of his Slovenian heritage and was well known for his home made Klobsa sausage, sauerkraut and horseradish sauce among family and friends.

Robert cherished his family and the Catholic Church. He served as an usher for more than 50 years at St. Barbara's in Black Diamond and Holy Family in Auburn, WA. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Robert was an avid sports fan of the Seattle Seahawks, the Seattle Mariners, and the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed traveling to local casinos and road trips to Reno, Nevada.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife Antonette, his parents and his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his son Martin Kitna and son Mark Kitna, daughter-in-law Parisa Khatib Kitna and grandson Kaden Kitna, dear friend Rosemary Kintner and numerous nieces, nephews, along with many grandnieces and grandnephews.
