WALTER R BUDZYNA

 

Walter R. Budzyna, 69, a resident of Atkinson for over thirty years, died on Monday, September 26, 2016.

Born, raised and educated in Lawrence, MA, son of the late Walter and Irene (Trzaska) Budzyna, he was a member of the Lawrence High School Class of 1965 and attended Northern Essex Community College. Mr. Budzyna served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1967 until his honorable discharge in 1973.

Employed at Raytheon Company for the past forty-four years, he was presently working as the Second Shift Circuit Card Assembly Operations Manager.

Mr. Budzyna attended Saint Anne's Church in Hampstead and was a Third Degree member of Knight of Columbus Council 9058 and a member of the Chester Sportsman's Club.

Devoted to his family and his dog Bella, he enjoyed boating, jet skiing, and working around his home and yard.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Gail (Schettino) Budzyna, a daughter and son-in-law, Nicole M. and Carl DiFranco of Windham, his twin sister Irene Chenard and her husband Richard of Dracut, a grandson, Dominic V. DiFranco, his mother-in-law, Marie (Manganaro) Schettino of Tewksbury, MA a niece, Christine Shipley and other extended family members. He was predeceased by his daughter Deidre A. Budzyna in 2008.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Life Celebration to be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. His funeral service will take place on Friday at 10a.m. in the funeral home followed by burial in the Polish National Catholic Cemetery, Methuen, MA. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Deidre A. Budzyna Scholarship Fund, c/o Timberlane Regional High School, 30 Greenough Rd. Plaistow, NH.
