COUNCIL #14446 - MARY MOTHER OF GOD REMEMBERS
SIR KNIGHT JOSEPH P. LUCIANI

Our hearts are saddened, yet full by the loss of our fountain of love. Joe passed away peacefully on August 1st, 2017 after suffering a massive heart attack. Joe was an only child raised in the loving home of Giorgio and Giuditta in Hamilton. Although he never really left 'The Hammer' he embraced life in Oakville, with his honey Carole Bertuzzi (Sooze) where together they raised Dante, Vincent and Alena, all of whom he was immensely proud, and was not afraid to tell you. Joe welcomed his in-laws as his own siblings including Larry and Norma Bertuzzi and Richard and Sharon Agro. Cherished by nieces and nephews Shannon Bertuzzi, Michael and Wendi Bertuzzi, Natalie and Ryan Hudecki, David and Josie Agro and Andrew and Alex Agro. Uncle Joey was adored by his great-nieces and nephews Liam, Ryann, Egan, Hugh, Kevin, Lauren, Noah, Stella, Max, Anthony and Nathan. Left behind to relish in his memory are extended families in Hamilton, St. Mary's, Sudbury and San Francisco. Friends will forever treasure their long talks and hugs, his story telling and especially his cooking. Those touched by him, and often fed by him, whether through his Knights of Columbus charity work, years as an esteemed and passionate educator and administrator, or from his 43 years as inspirational and motivational Coach Luc, will hold special memories in their hearts. Joe was truly a good man, one we can look to as an example. May his legacy of love thrive through all of those he has touched.

A special thank you to the Halton Emergency Response Team, the Emergency and ICU team at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Their care and compassion allowed us extra time with him that we will treasure.

We appreciate all of your recent showing of love, support and nourishment for our family.
