C. ADAM SANTAVICCA

 

C. Adam Santavicca, 84, of Trafford, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, in UPMC Shadyside. He was born May 19, 1926, in Turtle Creek, a son of the late Costantino and Martha Pasquale Santavicca. Prior to retirement, he worked with Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. as an agent. He was a member of St. Regis Church, Knights of Columbus No. 6299 and the Sub Alpine Italian Club, Turtle Creek, and was a volunteer at Forbes Regional Hospital. Adam served with the 67th Fighter Squadron of the Army Air Forces during World War II as crew chief in the Philippines. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Catherine "Kay" Bostedo Santavicca; and three brothers, Flavian, Mario and Conrad Santavicca. He is survived by his three children; two sons, Domenic (Barbara) Santavicca and Edward Santavicca, and a daughter, Kathie Wilpizeski; a sister, Santina Rossetti; eight grandchildren, Daniel, Elizabeth, Lara, Aaron, Jared, Patrick, Gary and Andy; and a great-grandson, Joshua Adam. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the DAVID A. RITTER FUNERAL HOME, 220 Edgewood Ave., Trafford. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Regis Church, Trafford, with Father James D. Tringhese as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery, Monroeville.
