Yates Joseph age 83 of Wilkins Twp. on Tuesday, May 12, 2009. Beloved husband of Audrey (Walton) Yates for 62 years. Loving father of Joseph (Rafi)Yates of Murrysville, Shirley (John) Estocin of Turtle Creek, Raymond (Wanda) Yates of Wilkins Twp., Richard (Deana) Yates of Plum, Robert Yates of Harrison City, Ronald (Debra) Yates of Wilkins Twp., and Karen (Larry) Ellis of North Huntindon. Brother of Mike, John, Albert, Ming, & Emil Yates; also survived by 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by granddaughter, Michelle Yates Rich and four brothers and one sister. Joe was a WWII Navy Veteran and a 30 year policeman for Wilkins Twp. He was a Commissioner for Wilkins Twp. for 8 years and a member of the FOP, Italian Club of Linhart, Wilkins Seniors, and the Knights of Columbus Monroeville Council #4925. Friends will be received Thursday and Friday 2-4 & 6-9 PM at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC. corner of Shaw & Triboro Avenues, Turtle Creek (412 823-1950). Mass of Christian Burial at St. Colman Church Saturday, 10 AM. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery.
