COUNCIL #6481 - MOUNT PROSPECT REMEMBERS
EDWARD A PROSTKO

It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Edward A. Prostko, age 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 9th 2017. Edward was a WWII Marine Veteran and recently last year enjoyed the well deserved recognition for his service through the Honor Flight experience in Washington, DC. He was a skilled craftsman in carpentry performing his craft in many homes around the Chicago area including his own. He enjoyed fishing and following his favorite team, the Cubs and was blessed to attend a game last May to celebrate his 90th birthday with family, and then to see the Cubs win the World Series. He loved observing nature, feeding and watching birds while being their protector by fending off squirrels. Edward was a member of the Knights of Columbus and The Arlington Heights Marines Veteran Group. Edward is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Dorothy Prostko, daughter Karla Phillips and son-in-law Craig Phillips of Bedminster, NJ, son David Prostko and daughter-in-law Linda Prostko of Grand Rapids, MI, grandson Warren (Terri) Prostko, grandson JD Prostko and great-grandchildren Hudson and Rory Prostko. He will be missed though we will always feel his presence.
