LOUIS LEBLANC

 

L. T. “T-Bone” LeBlanc, 75, of Fannett, died Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on December 10, 1937, in Beaumont, to Annie Clubb and E. L. LeBlanc, and had been a lifelong resident of the area. L. T. was a United States Army veteran and was a retired road and bridge foreman with Jefferson County Precinct 4. He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Fannett and St. Mary Catholic Church. L. T. was also an experienced horse trainer.

He is survived by his daughter, Jandy VanGelder and her husband, Richard, of Covington, Louisiana; sons, Bubba LeBlanc and his wife, Renee; and Joel LeBlanc, all of Fannett; Darren LeBlanc and his wife, Patty, of China; Johnnie LeBlanc and his wife, Vikie, of Fannett; and Lonnie LeBlanc and his wife, Jennifer, of Abita Springs, Louisiana; twenty-one grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Taylor; numerous nieces and nephews; and other loving family members.

L. T. was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane LeBlanc; sister, Mary Belle Loup; brother, Larry LeBlanc; and brothers-in-law, Bub Taylor and George Allen Wilcox.

A Christian Vigil for Mr. LeBlanc will be at 6:00 p.m., with a gathering of his family and friends to follow, Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 9894 Gilbert Road, Fannett, with interment to follow at Landrum Cemetery, Fannett.
