CWO USA (Ret) Kenneth (KD) Donnelly, died March 1, 2017.
Ken was born on May 29, 1930, in New Brunswick NJ. Following High School he spent 23 years of active duty with the US Army . His service included tours of duty in Germany, Ethiopia, The Embassies of Iraq, France, Spain, Mexico, Vietnam and ASA Headquarters. Following retirement Ken worked in the communications section of the FBI in Baltimore and headquarters in Washington DC. Ken also spent many years as a bailiff at the Circuit Court in Annapolis, MD.
He is survived by his wife, of 58 yrs, Maureen; four children, Kathleen Rohrs (Brad), Eilleen Lemmon (Mike), Kelly Griffin (John) and Patrick (Robin); and ten grandchildren.
Ken was an avid reader, crossword puzzle solver, fan of golf, college and pro football. Ken loved watching his children and grandchildren play softball, baseball, football, lacrosse, soccer, wrestling, and rugby rain or shine. He enjoyed dry martinis' and jokes. Ken was a longtime member of St. Mary's Church in Annapolis.
All those who knew him Loved and Respected him and found his word to be True.
There will be a viewing on Wednesday, March 8 from 4-7 pm at Hardesty Funeral Home, 12 Ridgely Ave. Annapolis. Funeral Mass on Thursday, March 9 at 9 AM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Road, Annapolis. Interment to follow at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the West Annapolis Fire Department or Hospice of the Chesapeake.
