EARL KIBODEAUX

 

Earl Adam "Uncle Earl" Kibodeaux, 80, of China died December 11, 2003 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. A lifelong resident of China, Uncle Earl was a maintenance foreman with thirty-eight years of service with the State of Texas Highway Department. He was a United States World War II Marine Corps veteran and a charter member of St. Mary's Knights of Columbus Council #6763. He is survived by his wife, Maudie Adams Kibodeaux of China; sons, Joseph William Kibodeaux and his wife Gail of China and Earl A. Kibodeaux, Jr. and his wife Jackie of Jacksonville, Florida; brothers, J. C. "Briggs" Kibodeaux and his wife Mary of China and John Kibodeaux of Beaumont; sisters, Lucille Brassier and Beulah Barnett both of China; grandchildren, Lewis Kibodeaux, Sarah Kibodeaux, Phillip Kibodeaux, Katlynn Kibodeaux, Jeremy Kibodeaux, and Brent Kibodeaux; and one great grandchild, Brandon Kibodeaux. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucy and John Kibodeaux; sister, Thelma Godeaux; and his brother, Emmett Kibodeaux. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 15, 2003 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, China under the direction of Broussard's, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. Burial will follow in China Cemetery with military honors. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m. Sunday evening, December 14, 2003 with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at the Mortuary.
