Richard Paul Drounette, 49, of LaBelle passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at his residence.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, May 5, 2008 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. Rite of Committal will follow in Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday at the mortuary with a Scriptural Rosary being at 6:00pm.

Richard was a native of Sulphur, Louisiana and lived in LaBelle for 8 years. He loved to fish and was a Journeyman Plumber for B & B Plumbing in Vidor. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Mary’s in Fannett and a member of St. Charles in Nederland. Richard was also a member of Plumbers Local Union 68 in Houston.

Richard is survived by his wife of 15 years, Angela “Angie” Hebert Drounette of LaBelle; sons, Brennan Drounette of LaBelle, Nicholas Barker and wife Charissa of Lumberton; daughter, Tiffany Bruce of China, Texas; grandchildren, Kayden and Braylon Bruce, Jeremiah and Nathan Barker; mother, Pat Gatlin of Houston; father, Robert Drounette of Houston; brothers, Kevin Drounette and wife Beth of Houston, and Eddie Drounette of Destin, Florida; sister, Terry Cornett of Oklahoma; brother-in-law Todd Hebert and wife Pam of Bridge City; mother-in-law, Vena Hebert of Leroy, Louisiana; twelve nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
