Lawrence J. Kelly was born in Kansas City, Missouri, July 26, 1946, and died March 23, 2017, at the age of 70. He was an Eagle Scout and graduated from Lillis High School where he played football. He played college football on a full ride scholarship, earning a letter of intent to play for the NFL, but an accident ended his football career. He met his wife on a family camping trip, marrying Joan, May 27, 1972. Larry loved hunting, fishing, outdoor activities, and playing cards. He coached Little League football and Raytown Girls Softball for several years. Larry was involved at St. Bernadette, on the Building and Grounds Committee, sang in the choir, and was a lector. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4962. Larry retired from the insurance business after 30 years of service. He was a good humored Irishman. |
