NORMAN JOHN PELTIER

 

Norman John Peltier, 81, of Labelle, died at his home on Friday, March 20, 2009 of an illness. He was born February 13, 1928 to Eula and Tessie Peltier of Port Neches, and was raised in Sabine Pass. In 1947 he served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He returned to Sabine Pass where he married Mary Louise Breaux and raised his family of five children. October 1963, the Peltier’s and family moved to his present residence in Labelle. He retired from the Texas Department of Transportation after thirty-eight years of service. Mr. Peltier is preceded in death by his wife Mary Louise Peltier, and sons, Cecil and Glen Peltier. He is survived by his sons, Pat Peltier and wife Debbie, Allen Peltier and wife Debbie, his daughter Nancy Williams and husband Todd. Also surviving are his ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mr. Peltier was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Fannett and a past Grand Knight of St. Mary Knights of Columbus # 6763. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2009 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fannett with Reverend Joseph Kattakkara officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a Scriptural Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2009 at the mortuary.
