ELRAY SENSATE

 

Elray John Sensat, 73, of Fannett, died Sunday, September 22, 2013, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth, Beaumont. He was born on November 11, 1939, in Vinton, Louisiana, to Ruby H. Chauvin Sensat and Nalton J. Sensat, and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Elray retired after ten years of service from West Jefferson Municipal Water District

He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Tincie Grammier Sensat of Fannett; son, Nalton Brett Sensat of Fannett; daughter, Marcie Sensat Comalander and her husband, Chris, of LaBelle; brothers, Larry Sensat and his wife, Joan, of Rose City and James “Boo” Sensat and his wife, Callie, of San Antonio; sister, Lorraine Sensat Guidry of Lafayette, Louisiana; mother-in-law, Tincie Grammier of Fannett; and five grandchildren.

Elray is preceded in death by his brothers, Alvin Paul “JuJu” and Anthony Nalton “Tony”; and sister, Diana Lynn Sensat.

A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m., with a gathering of Mr. Sensat’s family and friends to follow, Wednesday, September 25, 2013, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 26, 2013, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 9894 Gilbert Road, Fannett, with interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Beaumont.
