Harry F. Hernandez passed away March 15, 2017 at the age of 83. He was active in the Legion of Mary and encouraged others to devote themselves to Mary. Making the Cursillo deepened his faith and strengthened his desire to live his life doing God's Will. Harry was a hospital volunteer for over 900 hours. He made many Rosaries and led the Rosary prior to many meetings of the Knights of Columbus Council 4962. Harry worked for the Kansas City Missouri Water Department for more than 27 years. Among his many activities he had been a Golden Gloves boxer, a basketball coach at Holy Cross, a bar manager at the Golden Ox, a bartender at the Muehlebach Hotel where retired President Harry Truman would ask only for Harry to wait on him. Harry is remembered by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends, Brother Knights, and fellow Cursillistas. |
