Harvey W. Koch, 87 years, of New Tripoli, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of Lorraine J. (Cook) Koch for 62 years last November. Born in Hellertown, he was a son of the late Harvey S. and Marian (Henn) Koch. He worked for Mohr's Orchard for many years and part time at Shoemaker's Orchard. Harvey also worked at the former Olin Co. in Fogelsville. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Church in Orefield and the Knights of Columbus. His favorite pastimes were gardening and spending time outdoors. Harvey loved cheering on his beloved Eagles and Phillies. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was proud of his three grandchildren. Survivors: wife, Lorraine, daughter, Lori A. Moshyedi of Potomac, MD, brother, Leroy and wife Doris of New Tripoli, grandchildren, Lauren, Emily, and A.J.; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Harvey, Jr., a brother, Edward, and a sister, Betty Weil. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 10 at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 1879 Applewood Rd., Orefield. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M.
