LADY MARY LOU VACCARE

 

Lady Mary Louise Vaccare, age 77 of Sykesville, died Friday, February 17, 2017, at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster. Born October 16, 1939 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Dr. William Joseph Sullivan and the late Mary Ann Vulgaris Sullivan. She was the wife of Brother Raymond Anthony Vaccare, Sr. of Sykesville, her husband of 52 years.
Mary Lou had been an office manager for many years. She was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Community in Eldersburg and loved knitting, crocheting, doing crossword puzzles and watching Jeopardy. She enjoyed the Orioles and Ravens.
Surviving in addition to her husband are daughters and sons-in-law Christina and Robert Martin, and Catherine and Blaine Owens, sons Raymond Anthony Vaccare Jr. and his wife Lorena, and Vincent Michael Vaccare and his wife Lauri, grandchildren Alex Martin, Gina Martin, Caitlin Owens, Casey Owens, Lydia Vaccare and Dominic Vaccare, and brothers Donald Lee Sullivan and Patrick B. Sullivan.
She was predeceased by her brothers Robert Louis Sullivan and William Joseph Sullivan, Jr..
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Rd., Sykesville.
Funeral liturgy will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Community, 915 Liberty Rd., Eldersburg. Interment in Springfield Cemetery in Sykesville.
