Hubert Nicholas Leipzig of Mount Prospect Hubert Nicholas Leipzig, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012. He was born Feb. 6, 1932, in Chicago, Ill. He was a veteran and served in the Army. He worked various management positions for numerous companies, United Labs, Culligan, Becwar Plastics, Imperial Plastics, Cook Electric and Plenco Plastics, until his retirement at 70 years of age. He was a graduate of DePaul Boys Academy High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering at University of Illinois, Champaign. He received his master's degree in business administration at Loyola University, Chicago. He is survived by his wife, Stasia (nee Witek); nine children, Nicholas John Leipzig, Terry (Michael) Kijowski, Julie (David) Marvel, Nancy (Keith) Essex, Thomas (Iris) Leipzig, Jean (Curt) Calas, Margie (Sasha) Jonic, Christine Leipzig and Rita (Michael) Gampetro; 19 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was the fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Nicholas Hubert; mother, Sophia; and sister, Madge (Ernie) Horwitz. |
