Nicholas "Nick" J. Wolf, a resident of Hoffman Estates for 53 years, will be held Friday, Dec. 13, 2013 beginning with prayers at 9:15am at Michaels Funeral Home, 800 S. Roselle Road (between Higgins and Irving Park Road), Schaumburg proceeding to Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Schaumburg. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013 from 3:30-7:30pm at the funeral home. Born April 1, 1926 in Chicago to the late Nickolas and the late Anna Kutschall he passed away peacefully, December 8, 2013 in Arlington Heights. Nick was proud to have been a volunteer firefighter for Hoffman Estates prior to the establishment of permanent fire department. He was a paraprofessional at James B. Conant High School for 22 years until his retirement at the age of 85. He loved spending time with his family, was an avid woodworker and had a passion for travel. Nick was the adoring husband of 63 years to Virginia (nee Ryan); loving father of David (Annette), Kimberly (Chuck) Ladwig and Jennifer (Steve) Silka; fond grandfather of Lyssa Anthony; proud great grandfather of Carter and Miles Anthony; dear brother of Marian Zettl and Jack; beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews; dear friend to many, he will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.
