David Lee Combs, age 59, of Carpentersville, died Monday, December 17, 2007 at the St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates with his loving family surrounding him.
Dave was born in Elgin, IL on November 18, 1949. He worked in the Tool Tie Field for most of his professional career.
Dave was a United States Marine Corp Veteran and was proud to have served in the Viet Nam War.
Survivors include his mother, Lois Combs of Carpentersville; his twin sons, Devin Scott Combs of Palmer, TN and Derral Ray (Debbie) Combs of Fairview, TN; his five sisters and five brothers, Diane (Johnny) Reid of Reform, AL, Linda Caldwell of Griffith Creek, TN, Steve (Gayla) Combs of East Dundee, Judy Combs of Carpentersville, Larry Combs of Carpentersville, Kenny (Carla) Combs of Byron, IL, Lori (Randy) Burris of Carpentersville, Jane Zitzka of Carpentersville, Jack (Melanie) Combs of Dunlap, TN, and Terry (Karen) Combs of Carpentersville. Dave is also survived by countless nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward R. Combs; and a brother, Edward Combs.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Dundee Township East Cemetery in East Dundee. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-8 in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee.
