Mark R. VanWagenen, of Elgin since 1990, died June 22, 2014. Beloved husband of Pamela nee Gdowski for 33 years; loving father of Amy; dear brother of Susan (Ronnie) Carson and Garrat Bleecker (Dawn) VanWagenen IV; proud uncle of Christina (Ryan) Smith, Amanda VanWagenen, Trisha VanWagenen, and Garrat Carson; proud great uncle of Aubrey and Katie Smith; devoted son of the late Garry (Claudia "Jill") VanWagenen , and the late Carol (the late Frederick "Gay") Hastings; cherished son in law of the late Anthony and Stephanie Gdowski. He will be missed by his beloved dogs, Maxie and Millie. Member of Hoffman Estates/Schaumburg Knights of Columbus Council 6964.
