Joseph C. Coffey, Jr., age 74. Beloved husband of LaVerne Coffey, nee Moessing for over 51 years. Devoted father of Cathleen (Brian) Foster, Deanne (Bruce) Johnson and Sharon (Ronald Sieniawski) Coffey. Loving grandfather of Stephanie, Ryan, Nichole, Joseph, Michael and Christian. Caring friend of Boo Boo his cat and best friend. Dear brother of Robert Coffey and Christine Blanchard. Born December 3, 1941 in Bay Shore, NY to the late Joseph and Annette Coffey, Joe passed away peacefully on July 23, 2016 in his home in Schaumburg. Joe was member of the Knights of Columbus and an active member of St. Hubert Catholic Church. He was an avid traveler and especially enjoyed Disney World. Joe was also passionate about Notre Dame and was quite a shopper. There was always a surprise at the door! Visitation Tuesday will be from 3 to 8 PM at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, 330 W. Golf Road, Schaumburg. Funeral prayers 10:15 AM Wednesday at the funeral home to St. Hubert Catholic Church. 729 Grand Canyon Parkway, Hoffman Estates. Mass 11:00 AM. Interment St. Michael the Archangel, Palatine.
