Catherine Agnes Ellis, 86, of Eldersburg, died Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. Born Jan. 23, 1923, in Nantygo, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Sekerak Lefko. She was the wife of the late James Thomas Ellis. She had been a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Community in Eldersburg where she was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and the Sheens Colleens. She was a member of the Liberty Lake Golden Age Club and the Sykesville American Legion Post No. 223 Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are daughter and son-in-law Jacqueline Marie and Ronald White, of Eldersburg; a son, James Joseph Ellis; grandchildren James F. Ellis and wife Colleen, Jason A. White, Shawn M. Ellis, and Jill M. Frank and husband Andrew; and great-grandchildren James Connor Ellis, Kieran Lawlor Ellis and Ceallsach Roarke. She was predeceased by her siblings, Anna Zappulla, George, John and Mary Lefko; sister Theresa Helen Lefko, Pauline Mongelli, Peter Lefko and Susan Paccani. |
