Barbara A. Sponer, 75 of Sykesville, died Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Gilchrist Hospice in Columbia. Born December 13, 1937 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Margaret Spence Eschenbach. She was the wife of Raymond E. Sponer of Sykesville, her husband of 53 years.
She had been employed as a clerical office worker but spent most of her life as a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Community in Eldersburg. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband are son Lawrence Sponer and his fiance Eilene Strevig of Westminster, daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Paul Potocki of Westminster, sister Margie Lilly of Greensboro, NC, and grandchildren Austin, Garrett, and Marissa Potocki, all of Westminster.
She was predeceased by her sister, Joan Drakulic. |
