Mr. Eugene "Gene" Crerand, 80, of Marietta, GA passed away August 21, 2016. Gene was born on March 16, 1936 in Bellville, NJ to the late Patrick and Mary Crerand. After high school, Gene joined the United States Army and honorably served. He attended St. Peter's College in New Jersey. He enjoyed a 46 year career with the Royal Insurance Company. Gene enjoyed gardening and fixing things. He was a loving husband and father and will be missed by many. Gene leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Muriel Crerand, daughters, Bernadette Mace (Russell), Barbara Stephens (Creig) and Jennifer Mixon (Tim) and grandchildren, Gene, Hunter, Paige, TJ and Linda. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Beth Anderson. A funeral mass will be on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 1:30pm at Transfiguration Catholic Church. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 4-8pm at Woodstock Funeral Home.
