Frederick “Rick†Leon Wilhide, 63 of Sykesville, died Monday, April 12, 2010 at his home. Born October 10, 1946 in Maryland, he was the son of the late Frederick Leon Sr. and Mary Hearney Wilhide. He was the husband of Mary Wilhide of Sykesville.
He had served in the Navy Reserves. He was a professional truck driver. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Community in Eldersburg where he had been active in the Youth Ministry for many years. He was a member of Knights of Columbus #7612 and had served as Past Grand Knight from 1988-89. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and hunting.
Surviving in addition to his wife are son and daughter-in-law James A. and Stephanie Wilhide of Sykesville, daughters Jennifer Wilhide of Sykesville and Julie Wilhide of Hampstead, and grandchildren Frederick Charles Wilhide, Matthew James Wilhide and Brandon Baughman.
He was predeceased by his sister, Kathleen Hammond. |
