DOUGLAS PONCI Douglas R. Ponci, 66, of Las Vegas, passed away Feb. 11, 2012. He was born April 4, 1945 in Orland, Calif., and was a 12-year resident of Nevada. Doug was married to his wife, Mary Ann, for 38 years. He worked in the federal government as a CPA and Inspector General for the Department of Education. After retirement, he enjoyed golf and working part-time for H&R Block. He will be missed. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Dorothy and Ben Ponci; and his mother-in-law, Stella Longo. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; twin sister, Diane Ponci; brothers, Larry and Craig Ponci; many nieces and nephews; his best bud "Noah"; and Evelyn Shaffer and family, Rick and Denise, Richie, Chris, Pat and Kim; godson, Patrick; Connor and Randy; and many loving friends. Memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 16, at St. Viator Catholic Community, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Father Richard Rinn C.S.V. celebrant. Donations may be made to catholic Worker, 500 W.
