LAWRENCE GALLAS Lawrence H. Gallas, 77, passed away at Spring Valley Hospital Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010. A 20-year resident of Las Vegas, he was born Oct. 22, 1932, in Chicago. Larry was a retired general foreman in the steel manufacturing industry and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion in Calumet City, Ill., an active member of the Las Vegas Knights of Columbus and a past faithful navigator of the 4th Degree Assembly #2164. Larry is survived by his wife, of 50 years, Dolores; brother, Valentine of Florida; sister, Nancy Tetreault of South Carolina; along with two nieces; and one nephew. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, at Guardian Angel Cathedral, 336 Cathedral Way. Burial will follow at noon at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1900 Buchanan Blvd., in Boulder City. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society . |
