HOOT MILLS Hoot J. Mills, age 83, of Overland Park, Kan., passed peacefully Thursday, Feb. 15, 2007, at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Mo. He was born in Bellevue, Texas, and graduated from Bellevue High School. He lived in Las Vegas from 1957 until he moved to Kansas in 2004. He was a retired A.M. Lewis truck driver and proud Teamster. He was a devoted father and husband, brother and friend. Hoot was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Elizabeth; parents, Elmer and Sarah Mills; brothers, Blant, Jack, L.R., Fred and Don; and sisters, Irene, Monette, and Lamont. He is survived by his sister, Billie Deweber; three daughters, Elaine Mills of Kansas City, Mo., Lori Saar of Carlsbad, Calif., and Kathleen Crow of Lenexa, Kan.; two sons-in-law, Todd Crow and Steve Saar; and the joys of his life his grandsons, Dylan and Josh Crow. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 7740 Lackman Road, Lenexa, Kan.
