CLARENCE J. RAIBLE

 

Clarence Justin Raible, age 82 and longtime resident of Bartlesville, passed away on December 10, 2015 at Brookdale Sr. Living South in Bartlesville.
Clarence Justin Raible was born on July 10, 1933 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was the son of Justin Raible and Elizabeth M. (Geels) Raible. He grew up in Ft. Smith and received his education there, graduating from St. Anne's Academy. He was graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Geology, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Physics.
Clarence and Helen Lawbaugh met at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. They were united in marriage there on October 10, 1959.
Clarence and Helen moved to Bartlesville in 1960 where he was employed as a Research Physicist with Phillips Petroleum Company. He later joined the Bureau of Mines, the U.S. Department of Energy, as well as other private contractors. Clarence also served in the Air National Guard as a Navigator for 22 years, attaining the rank of Major.
Clarence was a member of St. John Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and he volunteered for Elder Care, Mary Martha Outreach, and was a board member for Boy Scouts of America. Clarence and Helen enjoyed landscaping and gardening, raising both vegetables and beautiful flowers. They enjoyed traveling, especially through the Ozark
Mountains. Clarence was preceded in death by an infant son, David, and two brothers, Leonard and Raymond Raible. He is survived by his wife, Helen of the home, and two children, Steven Raible, of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Julie Carter of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; he is also survived by one grandson, Ethan Carter of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, four nieces and nephews and two cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Clarence's name be made to Knights of Columbus or Mary Martha Outreach.
Come and go visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:00-8:00 PM on Saturday and on Sunday from 1:00-6:00 PM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home, 710 S. Dewey Ave.
A Rosary will be said on Monday at 7:00 PM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Chapel. A Mass will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at St. John Catholic
