Kenneth P. Coho, 76, Duncansville, died Tuesday at his residence after a brief illness of Leukemia.
He was born in Lakemont, son of the late Andrew and Kathryn (Bailey) Coho. He married Ruth E. Henshaw Oct. 27, 1956, in Altoona, and was previously married to Carmella Cristillo, who died in 1954.
Surviving are his wife; two sons: Joseph Coho (Margaret) of Duncansville and John Coho (Nancy) of Reston, Va.; two daughters: Julie Coho (Rick Lappen) of Charlotte, N.C., and Jeanne Webb (Patrick) of Mount Sidney, Va.; eight grandchildren: Melissa Coho, Christina Beer, Lauren Coho, Katie Webb, Kenneth Webb, Joshua Coho, Kory Webb and Olivia Coho; and a brother, C. Edward Coho (Eva) of Duncansville.
He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Mr. Coho retired as a supervisor from Bell Telephone.
He was a 1950 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School.
Mr. Coho was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, golfing, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
Mr. Coho was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Bavarian Aid Society, American Legion, Telephone Pioneers, Swiss Club and Belltel Retirees.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held (www.stevensmortuary.com). A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2008, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Lakemont, by Father Mark Begly. Committal at Alto Reste Park.
