In Memory of Kenneth Wayne Cadena
April 23, 1947 - December 31, 2015

Kenneth W. Cadena, born and raised in San Antonio, TX went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at the age of 68. He attended Mount Sacred Heart, and graduated from Lee High School, received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and his Master's Degree from the University of Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his mother Margaret H. Cadena, father, Kenneth H. Cadena, brother, David L. Cadena, step-daughter, Lesa K. Garcia, and wife, Lynda Webb Cadena. He is survived by his wife, Anna Uriegas-Cadena, sister, Barbara K. Redlinger and husband Jim of Houston, TX, brother, Dennis G. Cadena, step-daughter, Dr. Laura Fisch and husband Dr. Joe Fisch of San Pedro, CA, step-son, Kenneth Paul O'Gorman of Elsie, MI, aunt, Dora Jimenez, cousins Catherine Jimenez, and Mary Clare Wickins and husband Steve of Denver, CO, and uncle, Charles Hardy and wife Eleanor of San Antonio. He is also survived by his loving grandsons, numerous nieces and nephews, and leaves behind many friends from NISD where he was still employed until his death. He was a devout Catholic and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was known as a gentle and humble man who was dearly loved and respected by his family, friends, and all who knew him. The family wishes to thank the faculty and staff at CTRC Medical Oncology for their dedication to Ken's chemo care and VITAS Healthcare for their compassion. Visitation will be on Friday, January 8, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church from 6:30 – 9:00 P.M. with a rosary at 8:00 P.M. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 9:00 A.M. A reception will be held in the parish hall immediately following the funeral mass. Entombment will be held at Holy Cross Mausoleum at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mobile Loaves and Fishes, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 4201 De Zavala, San Antonio, TX 78249.
