James P. Blum (Sr.), age 73, passed on May 10, 2015, at his home with his wife and family by his side. Jim was born in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of William G. Blum and Juliet Blum. After graduating high school, he attended the University of Notre Dame, graduating in 1964. He was proud that all of his children are also graduates of his alma mater. While serving with the U.S. Navy in Japan, he met Maureen C. Casey and the two were married in 1968. They remain inseparable today, notwithstanding his passing. He had several hobbies and interests with giving folks a hard time, Notre Dame football, and auto racing being high on the list. However, his only true passion was his family and friends. |
