Funeral services for CSM (RET) Felicisimo "Fel" Pilola, 82, of Leesville, were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2005 in the St. Michael's Catholic Church, Revs. Joseph Pilola, Kenneth Michiels and Bishop Sam Jacobs officiated. Burial followed in the Leesville Cemetery with full military graveside honors, under the direction of the Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville. Mr. Pilola, died Friday, Oct. 14, in Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. He was a native of Tanauan Leyte, Philippines. Mr. Pilola was a 30+ years veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Mr. Pilola was preceded in death by a son, Michael; granddaughter, Virginia Marie and his parents, Basilio and Catalina Yepes Pilola. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Luz S. Pilola of Leesville; five sons, Roberto S. Pilola of Williamsburg, Va., Virgilio S. Pilola of Houston, Phillip S. Pilola of Hampton, Va., Rev. Joseph S. Pilola of Theriot and Patrick S. Pilola of Houston; three daughters, Leticia P. Sanders of San Antonio, Elizabeth Gorin of Bradenton, Fla. and Alice Funk of Lake Charles; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
