Kenneth Dillemuth, age 84, passed away May 29, 2015 at Koda Living community. Friends may greet the family Wednesday June 3, 2015 from 5-7 PM at the Brick-Meger Funeral Home (1603 Austin Rd) and one hour prior to the funeral mass at church. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday June 4, at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Owatonna. Interment will be at a later date. Military Honors will be provided by the Steele County Funeral Honors Unit.
Ken was born on July 4, 1930 to John and Alvina (Steinbauer) Dillemuth in Faribault, MN. He graduated from Northfield high school in Northfield, MN in 1948. He entered the US Navy in 1949. After his service he entered the MN National Guard. He started his career at Owatonna Tool Company in 1952 in the engineering department. He retired after 41 years of service in 1993. On June 28, 1952 he married Darlene Bohlen, together they had two children. They were later divorced. Ken was a volunteer fireman for 30 years, in Owatonna, retiring in 1980. On November 22, 1969 he married Marcella "Sally" Greene. Ken served two terms as 4th ward alderman in the 1970's and 1980's. He was an active member of the Owatonna Eagles Club. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic church in Owatonna. Ken and Sally moved to Pahrump, NV in 1995 and later returned to Owatonna the fall of 2013.
Ken is survived by his daughter Diane (Floyd) Kitzmann of Zumbrota, MN and son Kevin (Candi) Dillemuth of Owatonna. He is also survived by two step sons, Michael and Thomas Greene of Minneapolis, MN, 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. 3 brothers, Jack (Marilyn) Dillemuth and Richard Dillemuth of Owatonna, Paul (Betty) Dillemuth of Sun City, AZ and 1 sister Pat (Curt Kaderlick) Carroll of Owatonna. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sally, in 2014, two sisters, Fran Frodl and Donna Arndt, one brother, Don Dillemuth, step son Steven Greene and an infant sister.
