Nevin J. Miller, Jr. 79 of Breingsville, died July 6, 2010 in Southeastern Veterans Center, Spring City, PA. Born in Allentown, a son of the late Nevin J and the late Hilda Mae (Rutz) Miller, Sr. Nevin was married to Dorothy I (Perkins) Miller for 54 years Nevin was a former member of Cathedral St Catharine of Siena in Allentown and presently a member of St Joseph the Worker in Orefield, 4th degree Knight of Columbus Assembly 931 in Allentown and its Controller for 11 years, past Faithful Navigator, past Grand Knight at Council 528 in Allentown, Life Member of Knights of Columbus Council # 10921 of Orefield and Life Member at Hogans Social Club. He was a member of various organizations: International Assoc of Lions in Kuhnsville, American Legion Post #0576 in Allentown, West End Veterans Assoc Post 576 in Allentown, VFW Post 13 in Allentown. He served in the Air Force for 20 years. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid reader. Survivors: his wife, Dorothy; daughters, Sharon Dickinson of Allentown, and Tracy wife of Lewis Whelchel of Bon Aqua, TN; sons, Nevin J. III companion of Mary Fey of Allentown and Mark husband of Amy of Macungie and extended family member Karen Howell Miller; 15 grandchildren; and seven Great-Grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Steven in April 2002. |
