Andrew J. Wargo
Andrew Joseph Jake Wargo, 72, of Muncy Valley, Pa. and of Yorkville, Ill., passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009 in his daughters home. He was born in Shenandoah on April 10, 1937, he was the son of Andrew F. and Anna (Kruhelsky) Wargo. Mr. Wargo was employed for years as an iron worker in the construction industry and was a member of Local 393. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Orefield, and a former member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Yorkville, IL., as well as, a Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree. Andrew was a veteran of the Army having served during World War II. He was a member of both the Yorkville American Legion Post 489 and the Hughesville. Pa., Highland Lake 40 + 8. Andrew enjoyed recalling to his family and friends that in 1946 and 1947, he was a member of the very first championship Little League World Series baseball team in Williamsport. Mr. Wargo was a past member of several Moose Lodges. Andrew was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by both his family and friends. Survivors: He is survived by his children, Diana Wargo of Sandwich, Ill., Cheryl and John Albarran of Yorkville and Angela Wargo of Sandwich, Ill.; his three grandchildren, Nicholas, Jordan and Derrick Albarran; his siblings, Anna and Mike Kawa, Regina Phillips, John and Dorothy Wargo, Monsignor Robert Wargo, Steven and Linda Wargo, Julie Dee and Richard and Elaine Wargo; his two sisters-in-law, Margaret Wargo and Patricia Wargo; the mother of his daughters, Beverly and J. Ray Schneider; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Anna Wargo, his brothers, Michael and Daniel Wargo; his two nephews and his two brothers-in-law.
