John J. Vogel Sr., 89, Raytown, MO. passed away Sunday, October 25, 1998. at Trinity Lutheran Hospital. John was born May 30, 1909, in Kansas City, KS, and had lived in the K.C. area for most of his life. He was a member of St. Regis Catholic Church, a fourth degree Knight of Columbus (Grand Knight), a member of the Hail of Honor at O'Hara High School, and one of the first board members of the O'Hara Club. John retired after 40-plus years at Gerhardts Fur as a master furrier. He volunteered countless hours to many organizations. He was a Scout leader and coached baseball for over 20 years. John was seen on the Minor Pork Golf Course every week for the last 25 years. He leaves us with many beautiful memories and all will miss him greatly. |
