James Stephen Batton, 89, Blue Springs, formerly of Kansas City, died Tuesday, April 20, 1999, at St. Mary's Manor of Blue Springs. Mr. Batton was born Dec. 26, 1909, in Kansas City, and had lived in Kansas City until moving to Blue Springs. He was a reel operator for Sheffield Steel for 38 years before his retirement. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4962. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Emma M. Prussing Batton in 1997. |
