Leonard L. Pientka, Independence MO passed away Monday, May 31, 1999 at Independence Regional Health Center. Mr. Pientka was born January 3, 1917, in Hope, KS, and was raised in the Abilene, KS, area. He moved to Kansas City and worked at Lake City Arsenal until joining the Army Air Corps in 1942, where he served until 1946. Leonard worked at various machine shops in the Kansas City area until 1954, when he acquired Quality Tool and Die. He remained owner and President until his death. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Pope Pius XII Council 4962 and American Legion Post 499 of Blue Springs, MO. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 55 years. |
