Kevin Gerard Murphy, 39, of Kansas City, MO, passed away at his home on Friday, July 13, 2001, following a courageous battle against cancer. Kevin was born August 11, 1961, in Kansas City, KS, to Louise and Robert Murphy. He graduated from Washington High School, Kansas City, KS, in 1979. Kevin graduated from Benedictine College with a BA in Economics in 1983. Kevin had a great love for baseball. He played Ban Johnson baseball (Boyles) from 1979-1982. Kevin coached baseball at Raytown Little League and American Legion. Kevin was a 21-year member of Knight of Columbus, and was an active member of Council 4962. Kevin was employed at Utilicorp United and previously had worked for Unitog Co. Kevin married Cathy Durham on October 16, 1993, and together they built a wonderful home and family. Kevin was a devoted husband and father. Kevin loved his family more than anything else in the world-many plans with his children will now go undone. |
