George F. "Frank" Jones, 88, died September 30, 2001, at Research Medical Center. Mr. Jones was born March 8, 1913, in Kansas City, KS. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Lourdes Men's Club and had held all club offices in his 25-year membership and chaired the Men's Club BBQ. He was also a former member of the Sacred Heart Association. He was a very proud and active member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4962. Frank was also a Cursillista, an avid golfer and sportsman. Frank was partnered in the Highway Lunch at 31St & Van Brunt and also Jonesie's Diner at 38th & Main. He retired as a general manager for Carpet and Linoleum Specialties and was a member of Floorlayers Local 1179. |
