James A. "Jim" Morris, 69, Raytown, MO, died July 22, 2002 at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. Jim was born on August 26, 1932 in Old Westport, MO. Jim's great love was spending time with his family, especially his new grandson, and entertaining with his special Bar-B-Que's. He attended William Jewell College and received a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering from University of Missouri in 1953. Jim served in the United States Army. His working career began with International Harvester, where he was employed for 13 years. He was married to Harriet Marie Schmitt on November 26, 1960. He received a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri in 1971, and was admitted to the Missouri Bar Association. He was a trust officer and Executive Vice President at Blue Ridge Bank & Trust Company, where he worked for 26 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, where he had been Chairman of the Finance Committee and an usher. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 4962. |
