WILLIAM "RED" MURRAY

 

William "Red" Murray, 78, of Raytown, Missouri, died November 4, 2005 at St. Joseph Hospital. Mr. Murray was born on October 18, 1927 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He worked 35 years with Southwestern Bell telephone company. He was an active member in the Raytown Democratic Association and an usher at Our Lady of Lourdes for 50 years. Mr. Murray retired from the Marine Corps after two active duty services. He also worked for the Kansas City Police Department as a special assignment undercover agent. He was a member of the Parent Association of O'Hara High School and a member of Knights of Columbus Council 4962. He was an award winning 300-bowler and he never missed a football game at O'Hara High School. He put in the sound system for them.
