Kenneth Neal, 80, of Raytown, a former Raytown alderman and a civic leader, died Tuesday, April 8, 2008. Kenneth was born in Lathrop, Mo., and was a graduate of teacher's colleges in Warrensburg, Mo., and Chillicothe, Mo. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and was recently the president for the Friendly Club at the church. Kenneth was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Post 4962 for 19 years and served many years as treasurer. He served on the Raytown Board of Aldermen from 2000 to 2003 representing Ward 1. Ken was a member of the Raytown Council on Aging and member of the council for Raytown Emergency Assistance Program (REAP). He was retired from Rival Manufacturing where he worked 39 years. |
