Emory Corrigan died peacefully at home March 23, 2015. Emory was born Nov. 25, 1920, to John and Divanna Corrigan. He was a WWII Veteran serving in the Army Air Corps. Emory graduated from Michigan State University and worked at General Motors, Leeds as a Tooling Dept. Supervisor for 34 years. He was ordained as a permanent Deacon in the Kansas City/St. Joseph Diocese in 1974 where he shared his full time ministry between the Diocesan Family Life Office and St. Bernadette's Parish until his retirement. Active in his retirement, Emory was an avid woodcarver, photographer, golfer and fisherman. Emory worked tirelessly to gain petition signatures to promote fair and just "micro-loans." He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4962. |
