MICHAEL J. HALEY JR.

 

Michael J. Haley Jr., 63, of Hampton Township, died Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Morristown Medical Center.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr. Haley lived in Farmingdale, Long Island, before moving to Williamsport, Pa., in the 1970s. He then moved to Sussex County in the 1980s. He was an electrician for Union IVEW Local 25 on Long Island before his retirement. A member of St. Joseph R.C. Church in Newton, Mr. Haley was a member of the Knights of Columbus Don Bosco Council.
The son of the late Michael Haley Sr., and Patricia (Leahy) Haley, Mr. Haley was also predeceased by his first wife, Colleen Haley; his sister, Patricia Guzas; and his stepfather, Charles W. Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Alice Haley; two sons, Michael Haley III and Christopher Haley; one daughter, Shauna Haley; two grandchildren, Patty and Michael; one brother, Timothy Haley; two sisters, Corrine Heinke and Eileen Haley; two stepdaughters, Janet Barnes and husband, Torrey, and Mary Burns and husband, James; and three step-grandchildren, Jimmy, Campbell and Danny.
Funeral services will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph R.C. Church in Newton. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2015, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
