Phillip Emil Von Ville, 95, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023. Born in Columbus, Ohio on June 22, 1927, a son of the late Emil Phillip Von Ville and Josephine Hester (Spang) Anderson Von Ville.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Frances (Triacheff) Von Ville, his daughter, Rita Ciotola, and brothers, George and Edward Von Ville. Phil is the last of the Von Ville/Triacheff generation to leave this earth.
Phil was a talented auto mechanic, a jack of all trades and proudly, a World War II U.S. Marine veteran. After moving to Southport, North Carolina in 2017, he enjoyed attending mass at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Southport, North Carolina, spending time with his friends at the Boiling Spring Lakes Senior Center and going to his favorite Golden Corral. He was very outgoing thus was a member of many organizations including Knights of Columbus, ANA, VFW and CAF to name a few.
Surviving Phil are his son, Phillip Jr. (Maria) Von Ville, daughters Beatrice (Larry Sellers) Von Ville, Helena Von Ville and Michaele (Robert) Von Ville-Feuillerat, son-in-law, Nick Ciotola, sisters-in-law, Jimmie Shockney and Patricia Von Ville, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren, special friend Bob Burr, as well as many other family members and friends. |
