Leroy Wiegmann, age 85 of Carlyle, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon, Illinois.
Leroy was born in New Baden, Illinois on April 28, 1940, to the late Ray and Frances (Brandmeyer) Wiegmann. He married Geraldine Loepker on August 14, 1962, at St. Cecilia Church in Bartelso, Illinois.

He was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Carlyle, the Carlyle Knights of Columbus Council 1382, and Beckemeyer American Legion Post 1227. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Frances Wiegmann; his mother-and father-in-law, Anton and Wilhelmina Loepker; and his in-laws, Victor and Bernice Loepker, Paul and Rosemary Loepker, Lee and Delores Schrage, Paul Beckmann, Elmer and Katie Loepker, Bernell Loepker, Don and Nancy Loepker, Dan Langenhorst, Marcel Heimann, Dave Kleiboeker, Mary Book, and Ben Koch.
